Eric Franer. Industrial Designer and Concept Artist

My name is Eric Franer, I am a junior in the DAAP program at the University of Cincinnati studying Industrial Design.  I have always loved to draw but when the time came to choose my major, I wasn't sure what to do.  I was unfamiliar with design majors, but eventually I was introduced to the field of Industrial Design. I was enamored with the prospect of designing a product that would improve people's lives and to be able to look at my design on a store shelf and know what went into making that concept a reality.  

 

I am also an avid movie goer and gamer.  Ever since I saw Jurassic Park, I was fascinated with creature design. I would watch any movie if it had the promise of featuring a cool monster.  Since I started at DAAP I have applied the skills I have learned  to my creature sketches and designs.
